Introduction

Based on the concept of enhancing the overall health and well-being of the population, the core educational goal of our institution is to focus on "smart health" as a key feature. We are dedicated to cultivating professionals for health promotion and health care industries who possess both expertise in smart technology applications and practical skills.

Starting from the 113th academic year, we will be adjusting the "Bachelor's Degree Program in Aging Services" and the "Department of Aging Welfare Services," which originally belonged to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as the "Department of Bio and Food Technology" from the College of Engineering, to the newly established College of Smart Health. We have also begun applying for the establishment of a "Nursing Department" and other programs to enhance our participation in the health industry ecosystem.

In response to the global trends of an aging population and rapid development of smart technology, as well as the government's vision of "2030 Taiwan Health for All" the establishment of the College of Smart Health is dedicated not only to training professionals in community care and promoting healthy living services for the elderly, but also to cultivating biotech and food industry R&D and quality analysis talents, as well as primary care nursing staff with holistic smart clinical care capabilities. Additionally, it aims to connect the features of various departments and foster interdisciplinary integration, training high-value talents in smart health, smart medical care, and smart caregiving.

With smart leadership and aging-inclusive health, the college promotes innovative teaching and learning, while also advancing social responsibility practices, bringing more welfare and health to society.

In terms of research, the College of Smart Health will focus on the following main directions:
